£19.95 SELECTION AA

Dear Customer,

We're often asked whether the discounts we offer can be claimed across different lettered lists, and the answer is YES! If you browse our other £19.95 lists and want to take advantage of the lower prices for bulk purchases, simply lump them altogether and claim the saving.

Since we last published a new title much has happened in the outside world. We have been delighted to observe the extraordinary resilience of our fine hobby to the fluctuations that seem to be occurring on an almost daily basis. The Saturday just gone was our busiest of the year in the Strand Shop, and the '100 of the Best Offers' that we published recently was hammered within days of its publication. Perhaps it's the turbulence in traditional havens that is encouraging people to consider stamps as an alternative destination for a portion of their resources, and a vastly more enjoyable one to boot. Maybe its a feature of the fact that many collectors have the burden of mortgages behind them, or perhaps when news is bewildering we return to our hobbies and pastimes for some good cheer. Whatever the explanation it is immensely heartening that stamp collecting is better than simply alive and well. It is positively flourishing!

If you want to join our special offers list which contains short-stock items that are simply to few in number to reach any of our printed or internet lists, send an email to;  stampspecialoffers@stamp-centre.co.uk

ITEM 1
Our first offer concerns Rhodesia, one of Britain's former African colonies. It comprises both the old and the new. The first part of the offer comprises used blocks of four of SG34 (8d), SG82 (4d Olive) and SG116 (71⁄2d surcharge). These blocks are all nicely cancelled with circular postmarks and to these we have added used examples of the 3d claret SG81 and SG101 1d Red overprinted Rhodesia. This stamp is also included included in unmounted mint condition together with an unmounted 1⁄2d value SG100 from the same set. All in all a nice assembly of earlier Rhodesian stamps, the blocks being particularly impressive. To this we have added the complete 1978 definitive series SG555/69 which depict gemstones, animals and waterfalls of Rhodesia, in unmounted mint condition. Once it's gone it's gone and we have just 50 units of this Rhodesia offer available at £19.95 plus £1 p&p. SORRY, SOLD OUT.

ITEM 2
This offer is in very short supply we have just 17 units available. It comprises three items from Australia featuring King George V and King George VI. Firstly we have SG120 4 1 ⁄2d Violet but with overprint omitted. This catalogues £35 and is only known cancelled to order, it i is the combination of watermark and perforation which identify this stamp. Next up is SG O128 being the 1⁄2d official stamp overprinted 'OS' (for Official Service) in a superb used pair. The final stamp is SG184b, the 1937-49 2d Scarlet with the medal flaw which catalogues £60 in used condition. As you can see the 'flaw' which appears once in every sheet looks like a spillage on the King's ceremonial uniform to the bottom right of the medals on his chest. This triple offer will sell out and early ordering recommended, three Australian Kings stamps for £57.50 post free.

ITEM 3
This item is drawn from a selection of the 1974 Sir Winston Churchill omnibus issue. A number of territories issued stamps to commemorate the Centennary of his birth in 1874, and this is a largely complete selection of them. They make a splendid tribute to one of our finest statesmen and leaders. The offer is based on a catalogue price of £40 with approximately 20 items per unit. There will be a mix of stamps and miniature sheets and the illustrated contents are reasonably representative of what you can expect to receive for just £19.95 plus £1pp

ITEM 4
On a previous flyer we offered the 1934 Re-Engraved seahorses, and now we are working backwards and offering the predecessor. This set of 3 is the 1918/19 Bradbury printed Seahorse High Values. These display HORIZONTAL lines only behind the Queens Head, and are readily distinguishable from the 1934 set. They catalogue at a chunky £335 for the unit, and we have kept the price for them down to £75 (ie a quadruple unit). Stamps we supply will be in average used condition, with possibly the odd minor imperfection (nibbled perforations etc), but of a grade indicated by the stamps we have illustrated. Bradbury High Value set of 3, just £75 postfree
