Dear Client,

Whilst all we seem to hear at the moment are forecasts of doom and gloom, this does not seem to reflect itself in the Philatelic activity that we are experiencing. That is also the feedback from other dealers, and it's fascinating to see how resilient stamps continue to be.

We are buying aggressively at the moment and this is reflected in the extensive range of new offers presented here for your delectation.

If you want to join our special offers list which contains short-stock items that are simply to few in number to reach any of our printed or internet lists, send your email to;  stampspecialoffers@stamp-centre.co.uk

ITEM 1
Opportunities to fill gaps economically, with a representative example of a key stamp missing from most collections always hit the spot. The two stamps illustrated are prime examples. The 1p leftside band originates from the £1 Wedgwood Booklet issued in 1972. As a junior collector at the time oblivious to this fact, yours truly went through sacks of kiloware, and every local Post Office mystified as to why I couldn't obtain an example. Counter staff were happy, and probably rather amused by this baffled schoolboy, and content to let me look at sheets of 1pstamps on my quest for this philatelic Holy Grail. Alas I was always disappointed. The stamp on the right is the 1958 11dGraphite from the multiple crown set. This was also only available from booklets and no doubt had the same traumatic effect on schoolboy collectors in the late 1950s. The two stamps catalogue a weighty £115 and will be supplied with trimmed perforations as illustrated. The 11d graphite will be supplied with watermark upright or inverted, according to availability. Both stamps for £19.95 plus £1pp

It seems to have a universal appeal, no doubt assisted by the availability of a comprehensive catalogue listing all the stamps issued. We have a small stock of about16 sets. We cannot guarantee the inclusion of any specific issues, and have framed this offer against catalogue value, with single, double and triple lots available. The single lot will comprise a catalogue of £40 worth of unmounted mint issues drawn from those illustrated. The double lot will be about £85 catalogue (a £5 bonus and free postage), and the triple lot at £57.50 will have a catalogue value of £130. ITEM 6
We can't possibly illustrate all 22 First Day Covers in this particular selection, but they are a feast for the Military minded and the Naval Historian featuring 4 different sets from the Falklands, British Virgin Islands, St Helena and South Georgia. The emphasis is on Warships, and a host of modern carriers mingle with tall ships dating back to the 17th and 18th Century. This is a lovely group with interesting illustrations adorning the envelopes and these will appeal to most collectors especially originating as they do, from a group of such strong countries. As stamps alone these catalogue at £36, and at under £1 per cover they really are a super item. 22 Naval Covers for £19.95 plus £1pp.

From past experience, Omnibus issues are hugely popular. This is a stock thinning exercise. We are top heavy with some issues, and offering an assortment based on catalogue is win win business. You get a chance to start a fresh theme at a tempting price, and we can level out our stocks. What you see illustrated is a selection of the 1937 Coronation issues. These were available from a huge array of Commonwealth countries, and have a comprehensive listing in the catalogue. We are offering £50 of catalogue value for £19.95 plus £1pp. The illustrations are representative of what you will receive but necessarily content will vary from one order to the next, and we cannot handle requests for specific territories.
