Whilst our own Post Offices takes no care whatsoever in the postmarking of mail, Scandinavia has a much friendlier policy, and this collection of 500 different Swedish stamps really is well above average. Over the past few years we have been accumulating commemorative traffic light gutter pairs, with the hope that the day would come when we had enough to variety to put together an offer like this. If you are not familiar with them, they were positional blocks that appeared on commemorative stamps from about 1972 -1979. The early ones went sky high in value, and created quite a stir in the late 70s. They were eventually discontinued by the printers, such was the pandemonium at Post Offices on the day of a new issue! This offer will furnish your collection with 8 different sets. Some of the ones pictured will very probably be included, but we cant guarantee specific sets. This had been put together by a specialist collector, who really did his homework on the stamp. It enables us to offer the following. SG141 21⁄2d Rosy-Mauve – We recently purchased a quantity of this stamp, which was issued between 1876 and 1880 in plates 3 to 17. Each of the different plate numbers, which are easily visible within the stamp design, catalogues a minimum of £50. Stamps supplied will be in average used condition and very collectable. Any obviously damaged stamps are excluded, although the odd short perforation may feature. Most of the stamps will have the duplex postmarks, which are typical for this period. You may select as many as 4 different selections and receive up to 8 different plate numbers, which will provide even better value as you move up the discount scale. 2 different 21/2d plates for £19.95, 4 different for £39.90, 6 different for £57.50 postfree, or 8 different for £75 postfree.
