ITEM 1
This is another pot-pourri style offer but with a completely
different theme to anything we have offered before. We have long been
aware that there is a tremendous interest in George VI - so have been
building up stock as and when we have seen it available. The basic unit
is styled around 50 different mint (mounted or unmounted will be
supplied) Commonwealth - or more properly given the era - Empire stamps
from the reign of King George VI. Yes, every stamp will be at least 56
years old, with many older than that given that the Coronation took
place in 1937! The pictures are a guide as to what will be included but
content will vary enormously, and stamps will be included irrespective
of their catalogue value. Don’t expect to find great rarities, but do
expect to be pleasantly surprised with the variety and the interest
factor. We have sufficient diversity to offer double and triple lots, so
if you are in the mood for adding a fascinating new dimension to your
collection from the immediate pre, during and post war years, here's the
chance. 50/100/150 different George 6 stamps for £19.95 plus £1pp/
£39.90 post free/ £57.50 post free. Just enter a quantity of 1, 2 or 3. |

ITEM 2
This offer consists of 'pre-stamp' correspondence from France. These
are wonderful historical items in their own right and predate the first
issue of French stamps in 1849. These one sheet letters which are then
folded and addressed are referred to as 'Entires'. As with British
postal history of the same ilk, these entires bear various sending and
receiving postmarks and occasionally 'transit' marks where a further
postmark has been applied to indicate passage via a certain town, which
makes these fascinating for research and study. A common feature of
these items are what appear to be large squiggles applied across the
address. These are in fact usually manuscript numbers indicating the
amount of postage paid. The more interesting postmarks are those which
are two straight lines rather than circular. The stock of these is
limited and for their age is much above average condition: they really
are incredibly fresh given that they are over 150 years old. This offer
comprises six French pre-stamp entires and at least one will have a
'straight line' postal marking. 6 entires for £19.95 plus £1 p&p, or a
double lot 12entires for £39.90 post paid or a treble lot of 18 entires
for £57.50. N.B. Multiple lots will include additional 'two straight
line' postmarks. Simply enter a quantity of 1, 2 or 3. |

ITEM 3
Our last offer of GB modern varieties was especially well received,
so we are looking out other opportunities. Here are another two which
are visually strong. The 1979 Christmas 8p value shows an upwards shift
of the gold and ochre which has significantly distorted the stamps
overall appearance. It effects the Gold 'embroidery' effect around the
entire border of the stamp, the Queens Head, and the horses. The 18p
Butterfly stamp should have the Queens head centred above the 18p value
tablet, but as you can see from the illustration, the gold has shifted
markedly to the right. Both colour shifts, just £19.95 plus £1pp |
