ITEM 1 We are now up to 1990 and 1991 with GB commemoratives. These are supplied in perfect unmounted mint condition. 1990 comprises the 8 basic commemorative issues as does 1991. ITEM 2 It’s a long time since we were last able to accumulate enough Regional issues to put an offer of these together. It’s also a long time since we last had the time to sit down and make up the stock! If you’ve been taking up our GB commemorative yearset offers, it’s probably time to try and fill some of the isolated gaps. Have you acquired the Greetings sets yet? These were issued from 1989 for several years, and because they were not available in sheet form, many collectors missed them altogether. They have jumped in value, and remain constantly popular. To start you off we offer the first two sets as illustrated. ITEM 5 This offer is for all collectors, but will appeal particularly to those of Zeppelins, Airmails and Germany. The late 1920’s and early 1930’s was the era of the infamous Zeppelins of which Germany was a pioneer. Consequently Germany issued sets of stamps for use on Zeppelin flights often to commemorate the opening of new routes. These stamps are in the main very scarce and expensive. This offer comprises three ‘facsimile’ sets of German Zeppelin stamps which are gummed and marked on the reverse in German ‘privater nachdruck’ to denote that they are not the genuine issue. The three complete sets offered are from 1930 SG456/7, 1931 SG469/71 and 1933 SG510/12. If genuine, these stamps would catalogue a massive £2,355! Fill these very expensive gaps in your album at less than 1% of catalogue price. Three reprint German zeppelin sets for £19.95 or blocks of four for just £75. ITEM 8
The recent Beatles issue has attracted huge worldwide attention: we were receiving requests for First Day Covers when the stamps were first becoming known about by the general public last Autumn. These will undoubtedly remain popular as long as the Beatles do! ITEM 9
During the reigns of Queen Victoria and Edward VII, certain postage stamps were overprinted for use by various Government departments and also the Royal Household. These are termed ‘Officials’ by collectors and make an interesting addition to a standard collection. The most prolific users were the Inland Revenue, the Army and Government Parcels – cancels on the latter were as bad in Victorian times as they are now! ‘The Officials’ contain some of the scarcest and most expensive of all GB stamps. We have recently purchased a quantity of these issues and can offer them to you at under £2 each on the basis of 10 ‘different’ officials for £19.95.
