Historically, some areas of the British Commonwealth have used the ordinary stamps of Great Britain overprinted with their country or territory name. This offering is for these stamps from the reign of King George VI only. The sort of thing you can expect to receive are shown in the illustrations and all stamps are unmounted mint condition. Stamps from the reign of George VI are very popular and well sought after and we expect a sell out. Miniature sheet errors.
The 1990 Penny Black miniature sheet produced a number of varieties which were an unintentional throwback to the way that the original stamps were cut from sheets back in 1840. As a result of colour shifts and perforation shifts the cream border around the facsimile penny black on the sheet (to the left of the actual 20p stamp) has moved in two different directions creating the impression of a 3 margin penny black!!! We will supply 2 completely different copies of the error, an enlarged extract of these appears at the right of this text, the entire sheet on the left. The first in the extract shows a shift in one direction and the second shows it in an alternative direction, with an additional encroachment of the Seahorse onto the 20p stamp, which is in itself very distinctive!

ITEM 4
Booklet errors.
This is presented as a double offer with varieties on the illustrated £1.30 and 10p booklets. The former is the Jolly Postman booklet completely missing phosphor with good perforations (each stamp should have a centre band but does not) and the 10p Postal Uniforms booklet, number 5 from 1975 with the 2p/1/2p panes showing narrow band left and broad band right instead of the normal 2 phosphor bands. This item is supplied with perforations 'as they come'.

2008 is the 50th Anniversary of Regional stamps, first issued, back in 1958. To mark the anniversary of those first tentative steps towards some degree of postal autonomy we have put together a selection of 60 different unmounted mint regional stamps, and 60 different used stamps to make some inroads into building up a collection of used issues as well. As the RAF celebrates its 90th Anniversary this year we have dug out from stock the Complete CROWN AGENTS Omnibus issued to celebrate the 80th Anniversary set. This comprises 18 different complete sets and Miniature sheets from 9 philatelically strong countries (one set and miniature sheets per territory). Falklands Dependencies.
Previous offers of stamps from the reign of King George VI have always been very well received and we expect this one to be a sell out. The Falkland Island Dependencies comprises, South Shetlands, South Orkneys, Graham Land and South Georgia. Each of these Dependencies had a set of eight stamps issued which were overprints on the stamps of the Falkland Islands. The SG numbers are A1/A8, B1/B8, C1/C8 and D1/D8 and this offer includes a complete set of 32 values in perfect unmounted mint condition which catalogues at £80 alone in mounted mint condition. To complete the offer, we are including the 2 values of the 1946 Victory set both used on cover as shown and which have correct postmarks from the various dependencies. Covers may vary but you will receive both values and these are highly catalogued in the specialised Falklands catalogue taking the total catalogue value to the hundred pound region.
