Some superb recent purchases have enabled us to compose a brand new £19.95 list devoted to the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. Normal rules of engagement apply - first come first served! Several of these offers will sell out, and whilst they do gradually become re-plenished, we will not necessarily have a sufficient depth of stock to be able to re-offer them for some time. Much of the stock on offer here comes from a one purchase from Europe that has lain untouched in the original sheet folders they were supplied with in the late 60s/ early 70s.

ITEM 1 Wartime Channel Islands is always extremely popular, and we have exactly 50 of these units available. They comprise 4 different First Day Covers, being the Jersey Arms, 1/2d and 1d values issued in 1941 on clean plain covers, and the 1/2d and 1d values on printed postcards for the later 1943 Views. The postcards are neat commemorative printed versions and the First Day Covers are as is usual for this period, neatly hand-written. Sell out predicted. 4 wartime First Day Covers for just £19.95.

ITEM 2 Whilst visiting this historical period, we have a highly unusual offer, which whilst not philatelic, complements the selection of stamps on offer with a trawl through the wartime history via ORIGINAL newspapers from the period. This haul is completely ORIGINAL, they are not copies. Take into account that these are over 60 years old, and were produced in times of austerity, there is not an inch of wasted space. They are full of local information and give a fascinating glimpse into life under German Occupation, the only occupation of the British Isles since 1066. ITEM 3 The Channel Islands achieved Postal Independence in 1969, and these two sets were issued by the principalities to mark the occasion and remained in usage until decimalisation in 1971. We are offering them individually at £19.95 each or snap them both up and save yourself the postage.

ITEM 5 After the definitive sets offered in item 2 above both Channel Islands started issuing commemorative sets. There was an emphasis on strong design, something conspicuously lacking in the British sets of that period, and this immediately created an interest in the collecting of them. ITEM 7
This is a dead certainty for a sellout. We have never previously been able to offer these stamps but the dealer who stashed this stock away was a completest and even included the rare perforation errors in his inventory. The 10 shilling and £1 perforation varieties are amongst the most sought after of the Channel Island issues. These are different stamps to those appearing in item 3. The pair can be your’s for the amazing price of £19.95. and here’s a tip to help identify perforation varieties. The 5 shilling stamp only comes perf 12.5, so when you put the 10 shilling over it, there is an overlap of perforations.
