ITEM 1
1929 PUC/1940 Penny Black Centenary. We had a couple of superb purchases recently of earlier British commemoratives that have enabled us to put this and the next item in front of you for consideration. One of the most famous of all British stamps is the 1929 Postal Union Congress £1 (which we currently have available in stock) issued about 75 years ago alongside the four lower values that you see here. Most collectors at that time used stamp hinges and the vast majority of examples of the set are mounted, there is a hefty premium on unmounted. Despite this we are able to offer the unmounted set WITH the unmounted 1940 Centenary of the Penny Black, which when in stock we normally offer at £22.95 at the superb price of just £19.95 (even less if you are taking advantage of the discounts)

ITEM 2
The mid 1920’s through to the 1930’s saw a period in which Airmail literally shrunk the world. Many new routes for mail were opened up as many countries competed to provide the quickest delivery times for mail. From Great Britain, Imperial Airways were the key company offering global airmail services and they produced ‘Air Mail Label’ Booklets containing the airmail stamps which had to be affixed to every Air Mail letter and which were available free at all post offices. The covers and content changed as the cost of airmail transport altered and new destinations appeared. The Booklets we have are almost all complete, one or two may be missing an internal label or two but remain highly collectable, and on some there may be some light rusting of the 70 year old staples. We can supply one Airmail Label Booklet for £19.95, two different for £39.90, three different for £57.50 of four different for £75. We will not be able to supply the latter for very long!

ITEM 9
The 1934 Photogravure Issue was short lived as King George 5th died in 1936. The set of 11 stamps are particularly striking. As you can see from the illustrations this offer comprises the set in fine used condition, which is not easy to obtain, but we stumbled on an 'old time' lot. With it is a SKELETON booklet from this issue. Complete booklets are now extremely rare, and have rocketed in value, so the next best thing to illustrate this branch of collecting is the booklet without the stamps. The luxury of saving up to 5/- worth of mint stamps in 1934 was something few could afford to do, so the stamps would be used for postage and the SKELETON retained. These are still highly collectable, and of course look to all the world like the real thing! We confidently predict that this will be be a sellout so avoid disappointment and complete the form today! 1934 Photogravure fine used set and skeleton booklet, just £19.95
